Once Upon a Farm was founded with the dream of providing nutritious “farm-to- family” foods to kids of all ages. Soon after the company’s launch, award-winning actress, social advocate & mom of three, Jennifer Garner, and organic industry pioneer, John Foraker, came on-board as co-founders alongside Cassandra Curtis and Ari Raz. Together they grew the company with a goal of providing children with the best tasting, most nutritious, and highest quality food utilizing sustainable methods. Now, Once Upon a Farm aspires to be a leading organic family food company that will fight for and support efforts to drive positive social change and food justice for the benefit of families. Award winning actress Jennifer Garner has enjoyed a successful career in both film and television, as well as a most important role of philanthropist. For the past ten years, Garner has also held the position of Artist Ambassador with Save the Children’s US Programs, where she brought early childhood development & literacy programs to her home state, West Virginia, where more than a quarter of children live below the poverty line. Additionally, she has advocated on Capitol Hill on behalf of the organization, and recently committed to a six-year term as one of 30 members of the global non-profit's board of trustees, deepening her commitment to children in America and around the world. Prior to his new start-up, John Foraker, currently CEO of Once Upon a Farm, spent more than 30 years in the natural and organic food industry running businesses with a sharp focus on sustainability and social responsibility. Foraker was the longtime leader of Annie's, a leading natural and organic food brand in the US from 1999 to 2017. As CEO of Annie's, he took the company public in 2012 before General Mills acquired the business in 2014 for $820 million. For the following three years, he ran the Annie's operating unit & also advised General Mills' small business incubator, 301, Inc.
