Nova Sayers is Senior Business Development Manager for the Food and Sustainability at NSF International, a global not-for-profit public health organization. Here Nova guides clients from farm to retail on strategy and the many tools NSF offers to drive growth, manage risk, build brands and distinguish products. At NSF Nova has successfully helped launch several new services to foster trust and sustainability in the food system, including: product claims verification for consumer values like Non GMO, Transitional, True Source Honey, and Raised Without Antibiotics; Responsible Sourcing consulting; plus innovative Standards Development projects in globally traded commodities ranging from Produce to Coffee to Honey and the ROC. Nova also engages with associations and industry initiatives for health and sustainability, including the Sustainable Food Trade Association, The Sustainability Consortium, a small farm grant fund called Cultivating Change, Demeter USA promoting Biodynamic® food and farming, and Regenerative Agriculture initiatives. Nova is a certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, a GRI Sustainability Reporter, and she earned BA from the University of California at Berkeley in International Political-Economy.
