Crowther began his career in the natural health product industry in 1993. Since 2005, he has been living in Beijing China and focused on business development and regulatory advocacy. He is the founder and executive director of the U.S. - China Health Products Association, which is a U.S. non-profit trade organization focused on China's developing natural health product industry. The association is working toward encouraging a more open and transparent regulatory system for natural health products in China, assisting its members with market entry as well working on improving the ingredient supply chain. Crowther also volunteers his time as an industry consultant to the U.S. Commercial Service and U.S. Embassy in Beijing.
