Shannon attended her first Expo Show in Baltimore in 1993 to gather information for her Mom, Barb, to help Barb open her first GreenAcres location in Wichita in 1994. Shannon chose to join the family business in 1995 after graduating from the Wharton School of Business and in 1996 they launched a syndicated radioshow “HealthTalk with Shannon & Matt” that focused on alternative health education that lasted for 6 years. Shannon left Wichita in 2002 to gain experience on the supply side of the Natural Products industry working for New Hope Natural Media, as well as a sales division manager of a large supplements company. She returned in 2006 to raise funds, open & operate the Kansas City GreenAcres location & has since led the store's expansion into Oklahoma.
