Judith Ackerman

Corporate Engagement
Judith joined Metro Caring, a dignity- and health-focused hunger-prevention organization serving the Denver metro area, in December 2016. As Business Development and Marketing Officer, she directs corporate support campaigns that enable free, nutritious food access for Denver’s food-insecure. Last year, Metro Caring provided more than 60,000 individuals with over a week’s worth of free, healthful groceries per visit. Judith also organizes community events and collaborates with strategic food industry partners to reduce food waste. A lifelong food lover, Judith brings her relationship building and strategic planning experience, and her passion for good food, to Metro Caring. Prior to working for Metro Caring, Judith spent over 15 years leading the event and marketing strategy for various Fortune 500 financial services organizations including Morgan Stanley, and most recently Goldman Sachs. Along with corporate strategy, programming, and event execution skills, she brings to Metro Caring a passion for helping others. She has been a nationally recognized fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society since 2011. And prior to working full-time for Metro Caring, Judith volunteered in the organization’s Fresh-Foods Market, helping shoppers find their preferred groceries and helping to make unfamiliar items more approachable.
