Renske Lynde
Co-Founder and Managing Director
Renske Lynde is co-founder and Managing Director of Food System 6, a non-profit accelerator that supports entrepreneurs transforming how we grow, produce and distribute food. In the last several years, she has also been an active investor in startup food, agriculture and health companies positively impacting the food system. Renske began her career in the food system in the mid-90s advocating for improvements in international trade agreements on behalf of sustainable agriculture practices at the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy in Minneapolis, MN. She then built direct market channels for Pennsylvania growers and ranchers into the Philadelphia marketplace. While in Philadelphia, she helped develop the Mid-Atlantic “Buy Fresh, Buy Local” campaign to develop a thriving regional food system as part of a national collaborative, as well as spearheading the early development of the “Meatless Monday” campaign in conjunction with the Johns Hopkins University Center for a Livable Future. More recently, she worked to improve both the operation of and participation in the federal school meals and food stamp programs while at the San Francisco Food Bank. She holds a Master’s in Public Policy from UC Berkeley and Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Psychology from Boston University.
