Scott Kucirekis a serial entrepreneur who takes innovative ideas and turns them into successful companies. Since August 2010, Kucirekhas been the CEO and a managing partner at Five Star Organics LLC, the maker of OCHO Candy. He runs the day-to-day operations, overseeing manufacturing, sales, business planning, finance and marketing.Kucirekis also the co-founder of zipRealty, Inc.—the first customer-focused, high tech real estate brokerage. He was part of the management team that tookzipRealtypublic in 2004, and he served on the Board during his entire tenure at the company.Prior to joining OCHO Candy, Scott spent two years leading the formation and successful creation of CALMLS, a statewide Multiple Listing Service initiative sponsored by the California Association of Realtors (CAR). Scott was also the GM for Prudential California, Nevada and Texas from 2006 to 2008, where he leda sales force of 2,100 real estate agents in 47 offices that completed $8 billion in real estate sales. Kucirek has a Bachelor’s Degree in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley and an MBA fromthe Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.He lives in Piedmont, Calif., with his wife and youngest daughter. When he’s not working, Kucirek is known to bake some extraordinary cakes.
