Once Upon a Farm to Debut New Line of Storybook Super Smoothies at Natural Products Expo West
BERKELEY, Calif., March 8, 2018 – Today, Once Upon a Farm, a cold-pressed organic family food company, debuted Storybook Super Smoothies, its latest innovation that expands the refrigerated brand beyond its existing cold-pressed baby food & applesauce pouches to aged-up offerings for the lunchbox and beyond.
“Adding smoothies to our growing portfolio of organic, cold-pressed foods is a meaningful step towards our mission to bring fresh to the entire family,” said Jennifer Garner, co-founder and chief brand officer at Once Upon a Farm, who is scheduled to headline Friday’s Keynote Panel at Natural Products Expo West.“As a mom filling lunch boxes every day, I couldn’t be more excited!”
The Berkeley-based company’s certified organic Storybook Super Smoothies taste as fresh as the smoothies you make at home, but conveniently packaged in mess-free, BPA-free pouches for easy handling and transport. Available in three delicious flavors, including Strawberry Banana Swirl, Berry Berry Quite Contrary and Appley Eating Greens, each smoothie is cold-pressed to lock in all the flavor and nutrients from its farm-fresh ingredients, including fresh fruits, veggies, grains, seeds, and coconut milk. The new line will be available at retailers nationwide in June 2018 alongside its existing portfolio of 13 cold-pressed baby and toddler food offerings.
“Our Storybook Super Smoothies are formulated with an understanding of proper nutrition for developing children, which is key to our brand’s DNA,” said co-founder and chief innovation officer Cassandra Curtis. “We are thrilled to give Expo West attendees a first taste of our new smoothie recipes, which contain no added sugar or dairy.”
Once Upon a Farm was founded with the dream of providing yummy and nutritious “farm-to-family” foods to kids of all ages. This was the goal from the very start in 2015, as the brand began making cold-pressed, organic baby food and applesauce that parents would prefer over the highly-processed, shelf-stable alternatives. The brand recently became B-Corp certified, validating the company’s social impact on employees, suppliers, communities, consumers, as well as the environment.
In addition to sampling its popular baby food and applesauce blends, Once Upon a Farm will sample its unreleased Storybook Super Smoothies at Natural Products Expo West, located at Booth #N800 at the Anaheim Convention Center, March 8-11.
