Kate McCarron, Portland Pet Food Company’s Top Dog, and founder, was inspired to start making her own natural, healthy dog meals with all locally sourced, seasonal
ingredients when Rosie, her 14-year-old standard poodle, no longer showed interest in kibble and began losing weight.

Within days of the new diet, McCarron noticed Rosie had more energy, a shinier coat and was more eager to eat. Most importantly, Rosie regained the weight she had lost. Portland Pet Food Company, with its full line of fresh dog meals and treats, was born.

Local vendors supply USDA-certified meat, fresh vegetables and whole grains from the Pacific Northwest's renowned diverse food supply.
