Corvallis, ORE. (February 19, 2018) – Stahlbush Island Farms, a family owned and operated farm, will introduce two new frozen vegetable products – Golden Beets and Cut Rainbow Chard — at Natural Products Expo West 2018.

They are the latest addition to Stahlbush’s colorful and varied frozen vegetable selection, which includes multi-colored cauliflower, butternut squash, sweet potatoes, tri-colored sliced carrots, the vibrant purple, white and sweet yellow crazy corn blend and much more.

“The frozen food category is expanding with a renewed interest in convenient and healthy ways to make quick dinners, lunches and side dishes,” said Stahlbush Island Farms co-founder Karla Chambers. “Our team is committed to growing and harvesting premium berries and vegetables using sustainable farming practices – from water conservation and soil health to wildlife habitat and tech innovation. As a family farm, our role is to be stewards of the land for future generations.”

Located at Booth #444, Stahlbush’s Golden Beets and Cut Rainbow Chard will be available for sampling, along with a wide variety of the product line.

The new Cut Rainbow Chard offers consumers the color and flavor they love and expect from chard. It can be used to punch up a salad’s nutritional value, used as a topping on pizza or tacos, or as a featured side dish. The chard is rich in vitamins K, A and C, and a great source of potassium, iron and magnesium.

Stahlbush’s Golden Beets have all the great flavor and nutrition of red beets (also grown by Stahlbush) but won’t stain the fingers, counters or accompanying foods. They are mild, sweet and bright yellow. Add them to salads, get creative and use them as an omelette filling or turn them into beet tater tots. They are a rich source of magnesium and folate.

The certified sustainable farm uses top-of-the-line technology to grow its own food. After being picked at peak ripeness, Stahlbush’s fruits, vegetables, grains and beans are processed in a green-powered plant through an individually quick-frozen method that locks in freshness, nutrition and flavor.

Stahlbush Island Farms will also have a new look during Expo West. By combining a traditional wooden farm table with a stainless steel countertop, the new look captures the farm’s essence – growing high quality food processed by a team that puts food safety above all other priorities.

Stahlbush brings well-known berries to consumers year-round by picking them at peak ripeness and quick freezing them. Consumers can purchase Marionberries, red raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, cranberries, black raspberries and boysenberries at grocery stores throughout the United States.

The company also grows and produces the organic Farmer’s Market Foods line, which includes canned pumpkin, butternut squash, sweet potato puree and pumpkin pie mix. In addition, Stahlbush’s Nummy Tum Tum pet supplement line features fresh pumpkin, sweet potato and three blends with berries, vegetables and apple.
