PICAFLOR LIVE-CULTURE ANNOUNCES NOMINATION FOR 2018 NEXTY AWARD

Boulder-based fermented hot sauce and pepper flake brand debuts at Expo West and is nominated for 2018 Nexty Award for Best New Condiment.

Picaflor Live-Culture, a Boulder, CO based fermented hot sauce brand, is honored to announce its nomination for the “Best New Condiment” NEXTY Award to be given at Natural Products Expo West presented by New Hope Network in Anaheim, California on March 10th, 2018.

Marcus McCauley, Founder of Picaflor Live-Culture, is thrilled to be named among the best new and innovative brands in the Natural Products industry. “We want to heal people and the planet with authentically delicious food, and so it is an honor to be recognized by folks who hold these same values. We think it is important to get more probiotics and raw fermented foods into people’s diets, and a really flavorful hot sauce is a great way to do that. We’ve put a lot of care into this product, from seeds to soil to sauce, and I’m excited to see Picaflor spread its wings.”

Picaflor’s products include 3 SKUs of raw, fermented hot sauces and 4 SKUs of fermented pepper flakes. The products contain only whole food-based Certified Organic ingredients grown on Colorado farms and irrigated by Rocky Mountain snowmelt. Sugar-free, paleo and gluten-free, Picaflor is taking food to a higher vibration with its unique line of good-for-your-gut CPG products.

Picaflor partners with Colorado farms, including their own regenerative McCauley Family Farm of Longmont, CO, in addition to Ela Family Farms of Hotchkiss, CO, and Full Circle Farms of Longmont, CO to source all of its ingredients for its pepper sauces and flakes.

The NEXTY Awards have been given at Natural Products Expo West annually to recognize emerging brands that represent the innovation, inspiration, and integrity that the Natural Products industry embodies. The winner will be announced on the floor of the exposition hall in Anaheim, CA on Saturday, March 10th at 11am.
